Michael Burgess died unexpectedly on December 8, 2018 at the age of 38 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Michael is survived by his son Dakota Burgess, parents, Mike and Beth Burgess, brother Jesse Burgess, Grandmothers, Shirley Hockersmith and Wilma Mangrum, and his special aunt Barbara Wade along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles who will miss him dearly.

Even though Michael was a native Hoosier, he was drawn to the beach and the ocean and spent a lot of time in Florida.  While he will be missed by those who loved him, they know that he has found peace on the infinite shore.  Michael brought so much joy and laughter to those in his life that he will be remembered with every tear, every joke, and every laugh the brightens the day.

Donations can be made to “Mikie Burgess’ Funeral Fund” on GoFundMe.

May I offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved family member and close friend. May the words at Revelation 21 verse 4 bring you great comfort.

I want to express my sympathies to the Burgess family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that one day you’ll have the hope of seeing your loved ones again. Acts 24:15 says that “there is going to be a resurrection.” What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones. During difficult times like this, we need comfort, and Almighty God is the source of that comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May you find strength in knowing that death is not the end, but that there is a beautiful hope of seeing our loved ones again at a time when “death will be no more.” (Revelation 21:4)
